I bought my first scooter about a month ago. It was a Znen 150cc. I liked the scooter but didn't feel comfortable taking it on roads where the speed limit was 60mph or greater. I bought a motorcycle thinking I could learn to drive it and it would be better on those roads I couldn't take the scooter on. Well I signed up for the motorcycle safety course thinking I would be able to learn the manual transmission and get my motorcycle endorsement for my license. Well I really struggled in the class and they ended up asking me to leave. After that I was a bit shaken and decided I felt better on the scooter then I did on the motorcycle. My husband saw that I was a bit heartbroken over it all and being as sweet as he is, he sold his older motorcycle and bought me a Honda Reflex 250cc. I am in love with the Reflex. I am thinking of naming it sunny as it is bright yellow and cheerful. I just got the Reflex today and I am looking forward to many future rides. I am glad I found this forum I hope to participate a lot. I live in Michigan and I used to think I would never ride anything on two wheels yet here I am super excited about it. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Welcome to the forum Sunny. I love your scooter. I looked for yellow when I bought my TBX260 but it didn't come in yellow so I got white. I feel your pain about the MSF class. I had to take the riding portion a second time. My first day, the bike went out of control but luckily I was able to stop and not crash. The teacher was very intimidating and made me uncomfortable as a new rider. I was afraid to shift out of first gear and they kept telling me I was going too slow. I took the class a second time and the teachers in that course were wonderful. I had sooo much fun, that by the second class they told me that I was going too fast. What a difference a teacher makes. They even gave me some tips to get through that crazy double U-turn part of the test. I knew all along, I wanted to ride a scooter and everyone in the class laughed whenever I would mention it, but I wanted my motorcycle license to be able to move up if I so desired. Not sure if you need a license in Michigan for a scooter, but in PA you need at least a scooter license if it over 50cc. So stay encouraged and happy riding....
