Welcome to the forum, I am new to scooters too although I am already on my second scooter within a month thanks to my husband looking out for me. I think a one mile commute would be great on a scooter. I hope you love it. I have a full face helmet just in case I fall I don't want to mess up my face.

I bought my first scooter about a month ago. It was a Znen 150cc. I liked the scooter but didn't feel comfortable taking it on roads where the speed limit was 60mph or greater. I bought a motorcycle thinking I could learn to drive it and it would be better on those roads I couldn't take the scooter on. Well I signed up for the motorcycle safety course thinking I would be able to learn the manual transmission and get my motorcycle endorsement for my license. Well I really struggled in the class and they ended up asking me to leave. After that I was a bit shaken and decided I felt better on the scooter then I did on the motorcycle. My husband saw that I was a bit heartbroken over it all and being as sweet as he is, he sold his older motorcycle and bought me a Honda Reflex 250cc. I am in love with the Reflex. I am thinking of naming it sunny as it is bright yellow and cheerful. I just got the Reflex today and I am looking forward to many future rides. I am glad I found this forum I hope to participate a lot. I live in Michigan and I used to think I would never ride anything on two wheels yet here I am super excited about it. I look forward to getting to know you all.
