It fits, trust me, last week I had the same issue, you just have to persuade it, that cross-member was put there by Satan himself

Not sure how tall is your carb, with that short intake manifold you might have troubles with the carb bowl hitting the engine case, or not fitting at all. With the new carb I installed, an intake manifold with a lower angle wouldn't fit, it fit just right with the aluminum intake manifold it came with.

I think the height is the same, i think the only difference is the length of it...

My 32mm is tight but it fits . I used a 30mm intake it was just like the stock but with no rubber and of course the port is 30mm . I used a shorter piece of radiator hose , because the rubber connector was too long. I cut the radiator hose a little shorter and it fit. It is still tight but it fits .

I think you mean the bottom RIGHT .... when facing toward the front. Correct?
GEH has the solution.
The rubber connector that comes with the intake has iunternal groves that keep the carb and the intake manifold about 1/2" apart. you COULD shave off the rubber groves ... but ...
easier to go to O'Reilly's with your carb in hand and select a car radiator hose the right diameter. Take it home and cut an inch or more off. Use that instead of the stock rubber connector. problem solved.

Another nice thing about the radiator hose , you can cut it in a way that it angles the carb down a little , if the cross bar is in the way of the carb inlet. I had to slightly do that also. You can cut a 2 inch or so piece of hose , attach it to the manifold , then cut the hose so the carb slides straight in and even with the engine. This way the filter can attach to the carb under the crossbar.
