I got my hoca 52mm bbk installed today with the matching 52mm hoca head it went in no issue no boring the case one gasket. It so far is the best bbk I've installed it wheelies so no need to fear it won't fit it fits fine at least on Tao Taos.

Sweet, love bolt on simplicity! You still shooting for top speed with CVT and gears to take advantage of all that power?

Thank you very much. I have been really eyeing those, but did not want to have to bore the case. You are the man.

Very nice . what type of carb are you running ? If you still have a stock carb , I'd up it to a 24mm which is a stock 150cc carb. It will give you a little extra to hit that mark .

I've been testing it doing gps runs it did 51 gps with the 20mm I put on a 24mm carb got it tuned in and it now runs 56gps gonna vid after break in it May reach 60 without the stroker. Its not much slower than my 150 on flats but the 150 is way stronger on hills. The hoca 52mm with matching head one gasket is the way to go I'm running the 17/49 gear set and its actually faster after I took off the koso and run stock variatior and 5 gram sliders.

Yes!! , so the bigger carb does much better for her ? Its great to see these results!! You have no clue what it feels like to have your theories proven right. Especially after all these years . well they weren't actually theories to me , since I did it with success , but after been told I had no clue what I was doing and not to listen to me !! Well this is great news !! Also the koso , again, yes!! The newer Koso's are junk !! That's why rcq and I wanted to do some testing on them . only problem is the mpg go way down , lol.

It was slower with the koso I haven't tested the Dr pulley it may do great but it runs so good at the moment I'll probably leave it. I did have to run a 200 cca battery to use the e start I routed the wires under the seat.

There is no way I'd ever buy another koso. The k&s variator I bought is so much better in many ways. Can't wait to see the video !

I am getting ready to do a 52mm hoca build with a stroker crank. Hopefully next week when my crank gets here. Later this month we (Rapid Repair) are sponsoring a scooter drag during our town festival, so of course, I have to build an entry. I am going for all bottom end running at first. I plan on using 4 gram sliders, then maybe switch them out later for road use. Don't want to rob much power by using a low end torque spring, so I will use the stock one and see how it goes first. I too plan on using the 20mm carb, should work fine for what we are trying to achieve.
I was talking with another gear head about a 52mm stroker, he ports the 52mm big valve head to accept a 150 manifold and uses a 30mm carb. Sounds awful "fat" to me, but he swears it works great. I think I would lean more towards EFI if I was going that way.

The hoca head is already ported to match the 150cc manifold.
