So i am still getting a loud popping on decel, so i adjusted my valves to .005 they were nearly closed changed both oil ls and put in a new spark plug but I'm having a hard time understanding the read even looking at a chart this is with 15 miles on it mostly all WOT just to clarify this is in response to my new uni and exhaust

Yes sorry forgot i played around with 110-125 landed on 115 not really sure if it's right feel like my rpm revs arnt as obvious as the how tos to follow also on start up it idles very low around 1000 almost turning off but once it warms up to stays about 1800 and pretty much holds there dunno if that tells you anything

Adjust your air/fuel ratio screw. There are a million walk throughs available online.

Yea I've been playing around with the a/f without much luck, everyone's been saying it's lean, I gave it about a turn counter clockwise and the popping is way worse should this lead me to believe it's too rich? The screw was almost closed before I'm guessing I should probably switch to a smaller jet?

Take her out and test during acceleration, steady cruise, and WOT. The way to test is to release the throttle by 1/8-1/4 turn. If the engine speeds up a bit, you are too lean. If the engine stumbles then smooths out, you are too rich. This test works best during acceleration or at WOT.

I know this sounds silly, but did you check all the exhaust bolts for snug fits? If the tube is loose it can pull in air on the exhaust port and pop sometimes.

Since I richened it last night, when i dove it home I was getting an occasional stumble during acceleration that I wasn't getting before, I think I will just turn the screw back to where it was until I get a chance to take the carb back out and throw in a smaller jet I know this sounds silly, but did you check all the exhaust bolts for snug fits? So I leaned it out as much as possible with the current jet and there's almost no popping at all now just a little here and there very light so i think ill drop down I've jet size and adjust from there

What type of high performance exhaust do you have ? Was the header any wider ?
