Hi all,
I recently acquired the worst looking pile of "Roketa" that i have ever seen. It's a 2008 Roketa mc-54b (170mm) 250 with 16,000 miles. One of the former owners decided to strip it to the bare frame, and in the process lost some of the body parts that were originally on it. The rear tire is completely bald and it looks like they used it for burnouts mostly. Man i love a challenge!!
The top end is off and it's ready for a new one. It's a good thing that the new engine parts are cheap enough that a "poor boy" like me can afford it. I have been wrenching on my bikes since about 1981 or so, And these are real easy for me to repair. I think i will enjoy working on this and building a stripped out rat out of it.
I just gotta get the engine rebuilt and see how it goes from there.

Welcome to the site!
Sounds like you will have a swell ride soon... Most all of us are suckers for a good old rat-bike! Plenty of flat-black, maybe a straight-pipe and red rims with "aged" yellowed wide-whites... drag-bars with an old-school can headlight above the bars... round, implement fuel tank, solo-seat with hairpin springs... OK, I know, I'm just full of ideas... LOL! Comes from a half-century of choppers...
Please do keep us posted, with pix! Lots of guys and gals would like to do a "skelly" or "nekkid" scoot, and you may be an inspiration to get out the tools and go crazy.

dmartin95 I have seen some of your projects that you have, and frankly i don't think that i can multi-task as well as you. One project is quite enough for me.....:-)

Yeah, I sure have a lot on my plate right now.... Normally I don't have this many projects going on at once... The deal was, over the winter I stocked up some parts and I do a lot of ordering from over seas and that slow boat from China can take up to two months some times.... Plus, the Scooter warehouses had some good clearance sales over the winter... But now that it has warmed and everything is here and in place, I am going to be jumping from one project to the next... I excited... I want to race in this years twist 'n gone... |
