the stock crank is different than than the standard gy6 crank. the variator is 123mm , the clutch is larger too they take a 906x22.5 belt. The manifold is taller compared to standard gy6 manifold . I have seen them with ac and dc cdi, but I have only seen 3 phase stator. I think the timing chain lenth maybe different. Scrappy's has some tech info on this too. John

Wow that CVT is a monster . maybe one of the black 117mm variators and an 846 belt would be an idea for a different CVT setup on the regular long case.

That engine must be pumping out more horsepower to be able to run that CVT and the 16 inch wheels.

Not only does it have a bigger variator and clutch pulleys (the clutch itself looks to be standard sized, looks small against everything else), it has different final drive gearing for the 16" wheels, not sure what they have for tooth count yet.
I believe the crank stroke is standard length, but the shaft is longer and has more splines on it. The intake is tall, which should help the flow into the engine.
I'll take pics of the CVT in a couple of days when I have a day off, gotta pull plastics and foot peg bracket just to get the CVT cover off. Has an interesting CVT air filter box over the variator side. As always, my cheapo Harbor Freight 12v impact wrench removes the variator and clutch nuts in 2-3 whacks!
BTW- 70mph+ was on the down slope, gotta find a good level stretch of highway to get a bona fide top speed test run on. I have no problem maintaining 65mph even in the up slopes, but no throttle left for emergencies at that point. Hence my desire for more displacement and proper CVT tuning.

Well this is starting to make a little more sense now,,Id like to ride one with a pipe and UNI jetted,,bet it would fly! Had my heart set on a Ice bear but might have to look into a 16 incher,,probably be a little cheaper..those ice bears are so cool though,,even though they are slow as all get up.

I still love riding my 50cc around the neighborhood, it's agile and very fun with the BBK, instant throttle response at any speed. But for riding around town, the 16" and larger CVT make a huge difference both in riding comfort, and feeling secure riding with the cagers. If I can get the throttle response of my 50 by BBKing the 150, I will be a happy rider!

Just a quick update to confirm my stock top speed. It was a nice day for a ride, so I decided to cross the valley using the freeways. 35 miles each way, cruised consistently between 60-70, only dropping below 60 on one uphill stretch against the wind. Kept up with everyone except the fast lane, even passing a good number of vehicles. If anyone has driven on the through downtown Vegas, you know we call it the roller coaster due to the poor condition of the roads, you actually feel like your on an amusement park ride, pretty exciting in a cage, white knuckles on two wheels, especially if a gust of wind hits you when you are bouncing. Made it through both ways at 65-70, and only had one truly scary bump+wind. So, while its not radar confirmed, I know from riding these roads for 20+ years how fast everyone drives, and I'm confident my posted speeds are within a few mph of being dead on. I hope to install a BBK sometime this summer, hoping to have a bit more throttle response above 60, fingers crossed!

Hey jerry, you can get a speedo app for your phone and keep it in the trunk or somewhere. It saves your top and average mph. Or you can secure it to you gauge cluster like I did. I did 64 on the straight RDS and a top speed of 71 down hillshills. Im not tinned perfect yet. After my rollers come in I'll be hitting my 7500 rpm mark on the straight RDS and will pick up at least a few more mph. Those numbers are very good for a stock scoot . even if you were only hitting 60 on straight RDS , that would even be impressive for a stock 150

Its nice to know for sure how far the speedo is off or if it is spot on . it sounds like your 16inch wheeled scoot is a winner !!

I've had Speedo apps for years, I used them on my electric bike. I need a mount, not going 70 one handed on the roller coaster!
