I have a stereo on mine and, like you said, with all the engine and wind noise, especially with a full face helmet on, you can't hear it very well without blasting it. I got a bluetooth helmet that plays music from my phone. It's pretty sweet and has FM radio too. It added $100 to the price of the helmet, but I just tell myself that, even if it only lasted a year, that's only 27 cents per day. 

That's def the way to go ! I can probably find a bluetooth setup for my helmet.

HAHA! Good one! Sadly, my scooting is not so cheap after adding on insurance for my body. After my wreck and about 10k in medical bills, thank goodness covered by the other driver's insurance, (and it was a relatively minor injury) I decided I need injury protection for myself. That added almost 800 dollars a year to my scooting bill on top of what I was paying to protect the bike. I figure a small truck with the same coverage will cost just a little more per year in gas and insurance for my daily commute, plus holds two or three people, is faster and more reliable, has heat and a/c, and more crash protection, and you can haul stuff in it. Owning a bike is excellent but it certainly isn't cheap if someone does something stupid and wrecks you. I am going to keep my bike for now but there may come a time when it's too expensive to keep it AND another vehicle going at the same time and still mitigate my risk. Imagine what the bills would have been for broken bones or damaged internal organs. Yikes.


That wreck was a harsh reality check. I learned three things from it, always wear a helmet, keep insurance on you and your bike, and never think you can outsmart a dumb driver.

That's very stylish. I see that is the same one your daughter has her foot on. She looks like she's thinking, "That would look good on me."

I got the Torc T22B modular after seeing a review of a modular by Captain Crunk on youtube and I freaking love it. It's not as stylish as yours but I really like being able to flip the lid up when it's hot or when I want to talk to someone. It has a flip-up outer shield and a lever actuated flip down inner visor. You can see the visor is down in the picture. It comes with three visors, and I opted for the dark smoke for sunny days. There is also a light grey and a yellow visor included. They also offer a mirrored face shield, which is very cool, but like you said, maybe not the best for night time. It's a bit heavy, large, and hot inside, and I'd say it's side covers are a little on the cheap side, made just to cover up the visor mechanisms, but I highly recommend this very functional helmet with or without the bluetooth. It gets a lot of compliments too. I think these are going to be very popular. About 75 bucks without the bluetooth, 170 with bluetooth. Some sellers are charging 350 for the same helmet.
