I had a tao cy50 t3 a guy was bringing me to put a big bore kit on, he had it strapped down in the back of his truck. He got in a wreck on the way hit a guard rail and he said the scooter slammed down hard on its side. Needless to say the rear wheel has a bad wobble in it, it has dual shocks and 12 inch wheels, you can see where the wheel nut dented the exhaust pipe. He decided he didn't want the big bore kit or have me fix it , so i traded for my project scoot, so now its mine. It has 600 miles on it and only a broke back fender and wobbly tire after the crash. I'm thinking the rim is bent, but don't want to buy a new rim if thats not the problem. It cranks right up no problems besides the very wobbly back tire?

Get something like a straight piece of steel put the bike on the center stand and put the piece of steel on a block put the steel on the block colse to the tire and slowly turn the tire it should hit the same all around if its straight if not youm will know where its bent at it will be close and further away if you take the wheel off you should be able to measure the axle on a flat serface from the ground to the axle close to the belt case then on the end and if its not bent it should be the same hope this helps

I'm hoping i can just get a new rim and have myself a almost new scoot, hope the axle or some other crap isn't bent

I traded my roketa with 2200 miles and bore kit for it, he traded and gave me 100 dollars for a new rim which is more than enough. I took my performance parts off left the bbk it was a cheap 54 dollar ebay kit anyways. If its just the rim i plan to replace it and put another scrappy 52mm kit on it.

I just put a 52mm kit on mine i have a 49cc I rode it for approx 25 miles and the timing chain broke i replaced the chain and put the tensioner on the right way and it whined so i took the spring out of the tensioner and so far no problem. Mine was from scrappydog and the only reason i can figgure it made the chain to tight was the head gasket have you had any trouble like that??

I have the scrappy 52mm on my tapout scoot have put over a 1000 miles on it, used two base gaskets with a big valve head and a9 cam runs awesome

I have the same 52mm,big head,a9 cam and the 20mm carb it ran great i had the long valve head and they sent me the big bore head with the short valves and i had to order the rocker assy while waiting i installed the regular head and wow it was real fast alot of compression and after the timing chain broke i put on the big bore head and it wasnt near as fast as with the stock head but it was alot better than stock and im leaving it that way i would like to find a stroker crank and see what that will do

It took awhile for my kit to come to life, seemed after about 300 miles it let loose and it hauls, it worked with a stock head? Was afraid to even try that

Steel wheels are often bent when abused or wrecked . Remove it and stick something through and spin it around to inspect it

Yea I put the stock head on it with the a9 cam it ran like a stripedass ape you could tell it had alot of compresion the starter didnt want to turn it over

I have two 52mm kits to install next week, the guys already have 50mm ebay kits with 50mm heads that i did last summer, was thinking about trying to do them with the stock head and two base gaskets.

I only used one base gasket. T he head gasket was real thick the factory one was a piece of tin I think the thick head gasket was what streached the timing chain to much thats why i broke the first chain and had to remove the spring from the tensioner on the second chain
