A bit of a long story here and I will try to keep it short. About 8 months ago my Father 86 years old had a mild stroke, He has since recovered and is doing better than ever. Yet, as a result he lost his Drivers license and then my brother got involved and has been systematically striping him of his personal freedoms and control. He has my Father trapped in a house with nothing left to himself but a TV to watch all day and all alone. Yesterday, I took Dad to the mobility scooter store and I got him a brand new EW-36 three wheel mobility scooter. It is electric and capable of 18 MPH with a max distance of 45 miles. If it had a GY6 motor, nobody would know the difference between it and a regular trike scooter. No license or registrations required because it is a MOBILITY scooter. Check it out, search your browser for EW-36.

Right on, tell him to keep on riding!
My Great Grandmother came down with dementia, and we finally had to put her in a nursing home (thankfully a good one). One time while visiting her, she told my Grandfather she needed a car. The argued about it for a while, and finally my Grandfather gave in and said "Fine, you can have my car, costs about $30 to fill up" (back in the 80s). She looked at him with a look of complete and utter shock on her face and said emphatically "I don't need a car!"
I realize your father is not sufferning from dementia but it always brings a smile to my face when I think about my Great-Grandma! I hope you and the rest of the family can work things out so your father can enjoy the rest of his life!

Woo-HOO!
THAT is COOL! Not only a mega-mobility scoot, but would be great for all sorts of uses... Travel in gated communities, a super pit-bike, grocery-getter, etc. Good buy! You blessed your Dad with something that may well add happy years to his life! Something like that can give an old-timer a whole new lease on life, AND keep him moving, active and help sharpen his senses. I'm just old enough to experience the phenomenon personally. Mentally and physically, I'm definitely not at all what I used to be. The more I ride my scooter, the better my outlook on life gets, and the stronger and more sure-footed I get. My hat's off to you for being good to your Dad! Have a bone on the old chopper guy! Leo & Betty in Texas
