Extreme Motor Sales in Orlando has them for $3,299. Seems excessive since my Aprilia Sport City was selling on factory special for $2,999 this past fall. The TBX 260 XY260T-4 from Extreme is listed with a 3 year warranty which could add value if it is transferrable. make sure you're not mistaken! BMS got 3 different versions of this bike. With carb or EFI; and the carb versions come with mono-rear-suspension, or the regular dual shocks. (EFI only comes with mono rear suspension). They probably sell the newer 2011-2013 version, instead of the 2008. The newer one has Fuel injection. It is the fuel injected version which they are selling for more than I paid for my  mph Aprilia 250. |

I too am looking to buy the TBX 260.
I am getting a second scooter because I depend on a scooter for transportation. I have a basic 150, the SuperBee that was sold by SaferWholeSale.com
That 150 has had a few problems like the Stator went out and I had to learn to troubleshoot the electrical system then replace the stator. Now that I know how it's no biggie but it was challenging to learn. Other problems have been the quality of kick stand welds and the plastic panels have broken due to vibration.
So that 150 is still on the road and it will probably stay running as long as it's cheaper to fix than replace but I work three months a year 7 days a week so I cannot afford a day off and last year the Stator failure happened during this three months of work. Bummer to have to one, walk a mile to get a ride and that mile back home every day for a month and two having to learn how to repair the scooter.
So now that I have shared my story I am looking at buying the BMS TBX 260.
What I like about it. I like that it is an over sized scooter. I like that it has a water cooled Yamaha Clone engine ( I understand ).
I am 5'11" and I have been on a smaller 150 for three years. Sure I can travel 50 - 100 mile rides but not in comfort nor on the main throughways.
I do like having to go through the more scenic forested roads to visit "Grandma" but only at speeds of 45-50 mph
So are there any BMS TBX 260 owners here? Any thing to share? Good Bad...
I do think it is a bit over priced but that is to be expected with a popular model as I am told by the salesmen I have spoken to.
I am in California so all of the $2000-ish 250s are all Non-CARB approved.
So hello and I hope for some feedback. I plan to purchase in early July if I am satisfied with my choice.
