My damn airbox keeps getting loose, I've gone through 3 nuts and 2 bolts already, they get loose and fall on the road because of vibration, and now the damn thing broke! I've been looking for an air filter without the box, they are nowhere to be found locally, so I will have to buy it online, delivery takes a week or two to this part of the world. Is it dangerous for the engine to ride without an air filter for a few days?

Yes you can destroy and engine in very short time by riding without an air filter. You may be fixing they symptom and not getting to the cause. If you have enough vibration to destroy the air box then you probably need to go through the CVT and verify the smoothness of the drive faces, belt, clutch and that there is no wobble in the clutch shaft. You may need to replace the bearings in the gear box if the clutch shaft is wobbling.

The vibration didn't destroy the box, it has gone loose on the road several times after the screws loosen because of the normal vibration of the scooter, the vibration makes the box bounce around breaking some pieces. I don't want to put loctite or anything else on the screws because it is attached to the CVT cover, and if I have to open it on the side of the road I might not be able to remove it.

Get some lock washers and put one on each bolt to keep them from vibrating loose. Alleyoop
