Temperature in the high 20's F this morning, snow predicted for tonight and 6 plus inches of snow predicted for Monday. Next week highs are will be the 20's with lows in the 10's. Today I put some Sta-Bil in the gas tank and rode to the gas station and filled the tank and rode home. I didn't take the battery out yet. I am hoping after next week there might be a chance or two ride before I put the battery in the basement on the drip charger and wait for spring.

I'm from Wisconsin (Fond du Lac) so I feel your pain about winter life there. But living in Mississippi now I should be able to ride most, if not all, of the winter here. So far this month I've riden to work in the upper 30's a few times but generally it's been nice. Especially on the way home. Gorgeous riding weather actually.
The next long period of rain or ice or whatever we get down here that prevents me from riding I plan on bringing Betsy Mae into the shop and giving her a good going over and thorough cleaning. She has 2,200 miles on her and I want to check the condition of the CVT and clutch and belt and whatever else I can find in there. I'll take whatever plastic I can get off too and have a good look at where I can't normally see and clean and check all that over too. I'm a firm believer in preventative maintenance. She's treated me good so far. It's time she gets a little pampering.

Cheesh!
We're having below-freezing temps here in Dallas now for a week, with no relief in sight! A near RECORD cold for this area... Had the antifreeze changed out a month ago, so old "Minnie Mouse" is good to go. Should be getting back in the fifties again in a little while, so... for now, the old car is getting some exercise!

Perfect time to tear apart the scoot and do some deep work on it  We don't get snow here, but rain gets crazy sometimes, if you are ok riding in the rain, you can ride 365 days a year without problems  |
