I'm concerned with the cvt , you said the variator was bent ? And changed 500km ago . When did the power loss start ? I'm really concerned it's a cvt issue , or possibly more than one problem occurring .

The power loss has been occurring since about 2000 miles it's slowly been getting worse can't really pin point it to an exact time but I would say after 2000 it has been more noticeable, I have a problem with checking the valves, due to the very smart Chinese man who designed this bike the bottom right bolt that holds the cover on only has 1inch or so of space between in and the frame, I managed to get it off last time by wedging an Allen-key into a socket set head (only just did it) but this time the bolt is too rounded to get it off so can't check them again. The bottom of the bolt is fine so if I had clear access to it I could get it off but I'm not one for taking the engine out, I have some know how but not enough for that. I know what tight valves feel like as that's why I adjusted them last time, it doesn't feel like the same issue. Update since the new rollers the power is smoother and more consistent throughout there doesn't seem to be a dead spot between 18 - 25 mph ish. It feels like when a car is in too high a gear and the engine gets loud and struggles it's like it's in too high a gear when setting off. I said about the float issue as I 'think' it's only been doing the dying on full throttle since I cleaned the carb

When it dies at full throttle does it do it right away , meaning if you gun it right off the bat does it die ? If so it's not a float issue . Especially if the float were sticking closed the scoot would run out of fuel even if at low throttle . Your description about the engine getting loud like it's in too high of a gear . I believe since you dropped to 3.5 gram rollers your rpms are climbing at takeoff giving you the feel as if the engine is struggling , and you say the takeoff is still not as good as what it was before . This sounds like a cvt issue or possibly bad bearings I. The clutch or transmission box . The cutting out could be something in the carb but I doubt it's the float if u can gun it and it dies right off the bat . Also I see you have have electrical issues , you could have a bad cdi and or coil causing a firing issue . This would also cause the scoot to act like a cvt issue , weak takeoff and throughout the throttle range , also dead spot at full throttle . Did you ever buy a new cdi ?

hi, first of sorry for the delay been very busy recently no never bought a new CDI never throught of this being a problem, the cutting out when going full throttle has stopped now, seems to have resolved itself... weird. it only started happening after i cleaned the carb and i haven't done anything else since to help it, maybe something was sticking or dislodged in the carb and its now sorted itself out.
anyway after replacing the belt 500km ago i have checked it today after noticing a sort of uneven moving sound in the cvt cover it has got a nice big chunk missing out of it (i will post pictures later), hasn't snapped but about a quarter of the width of the belt is missing in a 2 inch long section of the belt, surely a new belt shouldn't have issues so quickly, the only this i can see is a few rubber marks on the starter motor bendix but this shouldnt cause it.. there has to be something seriously wrong with my CVT for it to be eating belts so quickly
anyway im ordering an impact wrench so i can get the clutch bell off and get the springs changed to 1500 to try and help the acceleration. ill keep you updated
