How's it going I just replaced my 130/60 with 130/70/13 and the ride feels a lot different . My scoot sits a good bit higher now " I also switched to the stock size shocks which are an inch and a half taller " . I have to put a 2 inch thick peice of rubber down under the kickstand so the scoot dosent fall over . I know it's only a couple inches or so taller but it feels so much bigger " that is taller " as I'm riding . It dosent seem so small anymore . Also the tires aren't rotating quite as fast and the scoot feels much smoother , the steering even feels better . Here are a few pics of my scoot . I measured the height of the seat and a few other sections . If you'd humor me I would like to know how high most of your scoots sit , thanks . Check out the room the scoot has from the floorboards to the road . . Scoot with taller tires. . 2 inch runner piece so the scoot dosent fall over . seat height looks to be about 30.5 inches . trunk height 47.5. handle bars height 41 inches

I forgot to add that the rear wheel went on fine other than not being able to put the wheel on with the tire pumped up . When I put the front wheel on it was hitting the back front fender . There is a screw on the top of the back of the front part of the fender that holds the rear part in place . All I did was removed that screw and tilted the rear part of the front fender forward and drilled a new hole in to hold it in place . This gave me plenty of space for the new tire .

I haven't ordered a speedo cable yet so I'm not sure what type of mph gains I got from the taller tire . I really like the feel of the bigger tires compared to the smaller ones. I did notice it takes longer to stop now. But overall I'm very happy with them.

41" Top of Handles. 27" Top of driver seat. 50" Top of trunk. All measurements taken with the stands up, bike sitting down on both wheels.
Front tire: 001879 4.0-12 (Whatever that means) Rear tire: 120 70 12

you must have a bigger trunk than I do , does your helmet fir inside ? the top of my handlebars are at 41.5 inches which makes sense if the tire sidewall is about .5 inches wider . however your seat is a about 3.5 inches lower . the .5 inch wider tire and the 1.5 inch higher shocks makes up for 2 inches of the 3.5 but I do see your seat is a different style and may naturally sit a little lower however im sure that our scoot use the same frame and the seat can only sit so low . also you may have some rear tire ware causing some of the loss in height. thanks for the measurements hopefully more will post theirs

Well I past a roadside radar sign today , it's set up near the end of a straight run about 50 yards or so after it declines slightly . I normally would hit 69 mph at the sign but now I hit 70 mph . Only a 1mph gain at that point . But I do really like the feel of the scoot .

I have about a 6" drop from the back seat to the front. Yes, I can fit a helmet inside my trunk. It's super convenient. I can also fit a folded fishing rod under the seat. That was surprising. The under-seat area is not deep enough for a helmet though. I don't know about tire wear. The tire looks okay and I have not seen what new ones look like to compare them.

I'd like to be able to fit my full face helmet inside my trunk . I can fit my daughters helmet inside the trunk but not mine . I think the back of your seat is higher then mine . I also think the front of the seat can only be so low due to the way it fits onto the frame and side panels. Thanks a again for the input . This thread must be to exciting for everyone ,Lol

Your speedo will not be accurate (or will not be the same as it was, few china-scoots speedos are accurate) with the larger circumference of your tires. You will need to use GPS to check out any change in top speed.

Yep that's right , my speedo was always right on but with the bigger tires my speedo will be a little slow . My speedo cable broke a little over a month or so ago and I never got a replacement . The only thing I've been going by recently has been the radar signs on the side of the road . They still have 2 of them up on the main rd by my house . I can also pretty much guess my speed by my rpms at this point . Of course I can't tell any gains by the rpms but I do know how fast I was topping out at while passing the radar signs. I've only noticed a 1 mph gain so far . I use to use 10.5 gram weights with a new belt and the old tires , now with the bigger tires I had to drop to 10 grams to be able to reach over 7000 rpms on a straight run and I think the lighter weights aren't pushing my belt up as high on the variator , so I'm not seeing more than 1 mph gain with the new tires . I believe I've completely maxed out my scoot and the mods I've done .
