I'm new to this so if there's a thread already covering this issue please let me know and I apologize.
I have a Schwinn Valo150 that shuts off when I ride it over 40mph for a while. If I keep the bike at about 35mph and under it runs perfect. I can still hit 40mph+ without it shutting off as long as it's quick and I'm not riding that high speed too long. When it shuts off it almost feels like the scoot is out of gas but it's not. I have to wait a few minutes before trying to start it back up again, then it starts and runs just fine again. The scoot barely has about 800 miles on it. Any ideas?

Vacuum leaks preventing the fuel pump or pet cock from operating. Possibly valves have seated in and need adjustment since that would also negatively impact engine vacuum and prevent the fuel pump or pet cock from running at higher speeds.

yea could be you are not getting the necessary fuel needed for those speeds. I would check your petcock and make sure its working great. i upgraded my petcock to the Mikuni Fuel pump one but that one flows alot more than stock. I have a high performance engine so thats why. but yea check vacuum and your fuel pump.

Gas tank may not be vented properly. Try running it with the gas cap off or loosened. If it doesn't die then that could be your problem.
