A friend of mine has a Yamati Retro Classic 150 that had a bad engine. He decided to go with a 150cc long case engine instead of the short case it had so he could get larger wheels and tires. The long case engine has 2 sets of shock mounts, one at the back 16.5 inches from the engine mount and one in front of the axle, 13.75 inches from the mount. The only swingarm I could find only has the rear mount on it.
We can't use the rear shock mounts because the shocks won't clear the gas tank. Does anyone know of a long case swingarm with both mounts or should we cut the mount off the swingarm and weld it where we need it to be?

Are u sure that's the only problem your gonna run into ? I think you'll also have problems with mounting the exhaust , that is unless u get the right type of header . Is your gas tank under the trunk compartment ? I believe some of the 150 frames at larger than others . There is also a notch cut into the rear plastic fender where the shocks run beside it ,if they weren't there the shocks would hit into it . But my main concern is the actual size of the frame I ve seen 150cc short cases with a 50cc frame .

He does have the gas tank under the trunk compartment as well as the cutouts in the fender. He also purchased a new exhaust along with the swingarm that has a longer header than the one for the old engine

I did see where someone used a long case on a 50cc but they didn't use the other shock, which I wouldn't recommend. I'm sure u can reweld the bracket that holds the bushing . Make sure u get the swing arm for a long case that has the muffler brackets .
