Just purchased, needing to know if it is a gy6 and if I were to replace stator do I need to replace what I am being told is a "flywheel"? There are a lot of other questions coming, I feel like I am getting "taken", was originally told "should only need carb cleaned", now they say to replace what I said above and the wiring harness and cdi as well, frustrated and need knowledgeable advice. Please help...

It is a gy6, talked to the owner of the shop, there was a 50cc carb on it, he thinks that the new, correct, carb should solve my problem. After talking to him and looking at everything myself I feel much better about everything. Fingers crossed, should be riding Friday afternoon! I will be replacing a few things that were "butchered", but not a huge necessity from what I saw and was told. I picked up a helmet last week, now looking at bags, and maybe a rear rack. I am excited to get on the road and save a bit on gas...
