Well, I figured why not share something from the south west! So as you all watch my posts they will usually have some sort of beer element, I feel this is a trade mark. Notice I will not be doing just the plain Jane beer, something has to make it kick or it has to be something different. NOTE: I do not drink and ride, even when we hit the bar spots on rides with heavy's. So, what is your beer of choice? (Beer not hard alcohol, being I don't drink it) I would love to hear about local brews. San Diego we have a ton and more popping up and will post pictures of visits coming soon! Being I get to travel for work, when I am in the area of others I want to know what is recommended without killing my liver to find out. Cheers!

The NoLabel brewery here in Katy, TX is pretty hard to beat. They operate from one of the old rice silos here in town. I'm a big fan of their Ridgeback Amber. My wife likes the Hefferveison. nolabelbrew.com/

The cheap swill I drink is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, bottled. It is an acceptable beer, not too expensive. I now have a front rack as well so I can carry the case front and carry other bottles in the tail box. For English food, I get Fuller's beers -- ESB for me, and Porter for my wife. With a choice Porterhouse steak, Het Anker Lucifer.
Everyone have a different beer they prefer. I love the British Bitter Beers. My wife likes Porters and Stouts. Some people actually like Lagers, and even Lite "beers."

The case sets its off very well! I have a ton, and a big thing with me is IPA's right now. As for Guinness, I can only drink it in Ireland, it's a lot different. Another new found love is hoegaarden white....look it up and buy atleast one!

"howdy, I was in Ireland a couple months ago..." If the Guinness we buy here tasted as it does in Ireland, my waist line would be twice as big. I wanna go back!

Dude,, I love my Yuengling,Blue Moon, and also Sam Adams Lager,,i dont dring much but I do like to put down atleast 32oz..once in a while..lol There is something about a Sam Adams Dark Porter and an good steak that just hits the spot. You hit on two of the best still American owned brewers left in the US. Most are now owned by foreign equity groups and trusts. Locally we have Dunedin Brewery that makes a decent Porter and when I lived up North when you got Gennesee, Fort Schuller or Rolling Rock fresh before it sat for any time in a warehouse it was quite good. Too many beers sold around the US today are stale due to the big warehouse distributors that stock up off season and then sell the beer off during peak after its well past its prime. Problem with Guinness here in the US is that its many times quite elderly by the time it hits the store shelves,

To me it doesn't get much better than washing down a nicely grilled porter house steak sided by garlic mashed potatoes, peas and onions with a Dark Porter.

See this thread was a catch 22, now I am at work hungry as heck and want a cold beer!
Garlic on anything is the best.
Guinness Beer over seas is so much better. But I have marinated wings in it here and with some marmalade, lets just say yummy!

A nice Dark Porter alone is like a meal for me. Maybe I would have room for an appetizer.
