So I saw this on another forum and thought I would do my own. With all the help the sites have given me why not try and return it some.... So today I decided time to change the oil in the tranny, it was very simple. To start you need a few things: Paper towel, magic marker (any color), starbucks Venti size cup, 12mm socket, and Oil (same as in motor), long funnel Then to your kitchen for a cold one, I am partial to Budlite with this new Mexican style chili salted based cup Next located the fill and drain areas: Fill Drain: Then place cup under drain hole, use 12mm socket and remove the plug. (Note: I like to remove the fill hole to allow the air to get most all the oil out. Also clean off fill plug and make sure copper ring is in good shape.) Then take a red marker and mark the cup oil level. (reason to follow) Drain old oil into water bottle then, wipe out cup and replace with new oil to your fill line. (Now you know how much oil to put in ) Next after making sure fill plug is in snug, start to replace oil. And then replace the fill plug and your good to go! I note the miles and the date on a excel log I made, if anyone wants to have me email them the format please feel free to message me and I will get it to you asap. Have a great forth weekend fellow scooterheads!

Works well and the dealership I shop at has it priced fair with other lubes. I know people don't like it but with San Diego weather it's a gem. Anytime me your my way I'll always have a cold BL!

Spun then every oil change you take a chance on lowering the level of lube every time that little bit that is lost by whatever means and what sticks to the side of the cup when you pour it in. I have a measuring cup/beaker marked in ounces on one side and cc on the other and go by whats listed in the book to measure what I take out so I will know exactly how much was lost and be able to put exactly the correct amount back in.
Just don't use one of the wife's from the kitchen as wives generally won't see any humor in it.
I'll wait until after I have returned from the test ride to have an adult beverage. Usually from that small brewery in Boston that regularly beats Bud at taste tests and competitions.

I always go over the line a little to feature for that. I'm sorry I didn't add that in! Also will do engine coolant today

Still get a measured beaker to drain it into so there is no guessing and you will know exactly how much went in and exactly how much came out at the next change.
I am about to do the 25,000 mile services on my bike so its brakes (kevlar pads), brake fluid, coolant (going to give EngineIce a try), drive belt, sliders, variator guides, grease clutch bearings, engine oil with filter, gear lube and air filter.
It has just been too hot and humid the past few weeks to get involved with a project like this.
