Hello, and welcome to the forums! A 50cc gy6 can only take up to a 52mm (83cc) BBK without boring out the engine case. Take a measurement of the piston, that will let us know what size kit you have, and be able to make appropriate suggestions.

OK, so you have the 52mm kit which is 83cc, with the stroker crank it goes up to I believe 92cc (not certain), you're going to love the increase in power. You can use everything you have without the stroker crank, and that will give it a longer life. Big strokers on a 50cc have limited lifespans.

Not sure why the stroker would decrease lifespan, what's gonna go out? Not the crank which most fear after bbk's, just replace all the other parts motor and electrical and all should be good. Quality parts even with more power are better than the stock Chinese cheap stuff that comes in it.

Quality parts even with more power are better than the stock Chinese cheap stuff that comes in it. I'm going on what Larry said about Fawkes. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I thought the general consensus was a stroker on a 50cc led to shorter engine life. I'll of course defer to those of you who have done the stroker conversion, I have not. Here is one of the posts Larry made discussing how various parts may wear out faster with a stroker setup: itistheride.boards.net/post/68715
