Hello i have a taotao powermax 150 and recently my ignition isnt working right i have to turn the key quite a few times to get the power on. do you think its a loose wire on the ignition? i would just like to here thoughts before i start tearing it apart in degree weather lol thanks much

Sounds like a bad contact inside the key maybe rusty try some WD-40 spray the heck out of it and work the key. When you turn the key on it makes contact to pass the 12v to the black wire which in turn sends it to everything else. Alleyoop

Its probably the switch,,you can check the plug real good make sure its tight and clean,,I would use a DMM and test the switch for continuity,,I bet you find that the continuity breaks when you wiggle the key on the ON posisition.As a last resort you can try to spray some CRC electronics cleaner in the switch and work it ON/OFF a few times,,maybe just a dirty contact...also check your main power wire from positive battery terminal,,the factory fuse in that link is way under par IMO. Check the ground as well...

corroded contacts in the key switch, sprayed some PB blaster in there and turned the key back and forth and it fixed it
