Yup, the Reflex is good. 2 different 2001s, one is sold and the other currently disassembled and awaiting repair. I have a 2004 Sport needs repair, (have the parts, just haven't got to it yet.) a 2006 Sport with ABS recently restored and sold, and a 2007 Sport that I am building a streamlined fairing for.
FYI - Common Honda Reflex issues:
2001 - 2003 do not have the electrical output that the 2004 - 2007 have; so not as easy to run extra lights.
Front brake often makes a swishing sort of sound especially after using the front brake. The pads do not fully retract on release, but it is normal and causes no harm.
If the seat is not fully closed when you park it, the luggage box light may stay on and WILL run your battery down. Most just take the bulb out and use a flashlight instead if needed since the trunk light is not very effective buried under a bunch of stuff at the back of the box anyway.
If you ever accidentally lock your key in the trunk/under seat storage.......I know how to get the seat to open.....without a key.
People will often tell you that you have a headlight out....It's just that they don't know that low beam is just one light on and High beams are with both lights on.
When changing the oil, use a 6 point socket when removing and tightening the drain cap. A 12 point socket or box end wrench may end up rounding the cap head. And DON"T over tighten it....just snug.
And do check your oil often. (and properly) Dipstick only gets inserted, but not screwed in when checking oil level with the bike on the center stand. (DON'T OVERFILL!!) It uses only 1.2 Qts so it is important to make sure it has enough to prevent engine failure.
Rust in the tank can clog the fuel filter. When storing the bike for prolonged periods, fill the fuel tank with non ethanol gasoline and drain the float bowl. There is more to long term storage, but this abbreviated procedure should help prevent tank rusting and carb problems from fuel gumming up.
Clutch shudder can sometimes be remedied by using brakes and stopping front wheel against an immovable object (brick wall maybe) and revving the engine up for a few seconds to wear off the clutch "glaze".
Drive belt squeal can happen, but is usually associated with new drive belts and symptoms are temporary.
