I have a Lance Vintage with single sided suspension. The shock absorber is a little soft for my riding. It makes the scoot feel hinged in the middle. Does anyone have experience of a stiffer direct replacement. Ideally, i'd be looking to get a beefier less stressed used item from auction.

Lance Vintage was a light capacity bike with a big seat. It is only good for about a 250 lb load. The rear frames are mild steel and not really up to anything beefier than stock without adding a right side swing arm and dual springs.
I had one and put about 4,000 miles on it.
