anyone near coconut creek florida interested in making a few bucks? just some basic maintenance, need to check for corrosion on battery and clean, need valve adjustment and carb tuned. i know how to do these things, i'm just lazy. probably 1-2 hours work.
i can't/won't spend $80/hr or whatever the scooter shop charges. if you're in the area and your price is reasonable i'll bring it to you.

Too bad I aint close,,
I would do all that for you plus the gear lube,all filters,plug,lube cables and speedo,tighten everything up for $100

When I rode bikes, in Denver, we started a Spring Mod Day, where we all got together and did oil changes, and basic spring maint. Too bad the scooter world isn't big enuf to do the same. Burgers, beers, and a good time.
(A friend would do it for free)

Say, where did...bugger, I forget his name now. He used to live in Puerto Rico but was moving to Flor 'cause PR was such a stink-pit of crime (including the cops). Anyone know where he ended up? Is he close to ramblin'?

Its probably just the intake valve is a little tight,,I check mine every 1000 miles or so,,last time I checked my intake was down to maybe .003,,when the scoot was hot it would need a blip of throttle to start,,now it just starts with the button,,like a Honda..lol |

Yeah he is in the process of moving and starting a new business,,no more scooter elements as he said they where starting to sell fakes and the boss didn't want him helping people after 5 o clock. |

That is just about exactly what was done here in Michigan this year with a small group of scooter riding pals. It was called the First Annual Tune Up & BBQ. I hosted and there were only 4 of us locally, but it was a good time, good food, good friends...... It was great and we actually got some things done. Mostly it was maxi-scooter riding pals, but I did try to get participants from another forums. Sorry I didn't ask here but I had a bunch of other stuff going on and just made invites where I knew there were some locals from several other forums that >might< be interested....(but never responded) too bad. I guess I'll try here next year then. And if you were near here or we were near there, help would gladly be given for free. |

well i still haven't worked on it and it is getting worse. assuming it keeps running i'm not going to work on it until monday so if anyone in the area wants to make some extra money let me know before then.
