Is there anyone else in the Atlanta area that can help me work on the scoot?? It doesnt need any work really but there is something wrong w the fuel gauge as Im learning it is a common thing on the nitro.
Also wouldnt mind modding it a bit, maybe put a K&N filter on and re-jet. But I'm not a very good mechanic on these scoots. No experience.

I bet that Tomos runs way better with the expansion chamber pipe as my Tomos mopeds only had a tubed pipe

It runs good! Would like to tinker and re-jet with a K&N someday if I had a friend to help.
It tops at about 60 mph. I guess thats about right for a 150cc? I would like to get it to around 70 so I can take quick trips on the highway...

The weights in the variator come as rollers or sliders, most people prefer sliders but what you normally get from the factory are rollers. And yes changing those out can help but I really think putting a performance variator on is one of your easiest and best things to do, it will possibly come with sliders too.

@ dominnice looking scoot
im not doubting you, BUT how did you come up with 60 mph? by the speedo ? or other GPS system?
speedo's are usually way off, from 5-10 mph
60 mph is not unheard of, but rare for a STOCK scoot.
are those 12 or 13 inch wheels?

For a 150 it's not unheard of to go 60. My TaoTao EVO150 (which has a quite big body, and is about 100LBS heavier than the PowerMax150), goes 63MPH stock. Like usual, you can tweak the taotao's by putting lighter rollers/sliders in them for better takeoff/top end.
The Powermax is supposed to go 65MPH tops.
Btw, the right fuel can do miracles! Getting the wrong fuel could easily shave off 5 or upto 10 MPH off your top speed.
As far as a 150cc doing 70MPH, ain't no way that this is going to work, unless: 1- You have a crotch rocket that requires you to lay instead of sit 2- You have a 2 stroke 3- You're running Nitro, or have your engine set up so badly that it would last you less than a week. 4- You have an off-brand scooter (non-chinese), that has a twin cylinder or fuel injection.
For 70-75MPH you're in 250cc territory.

Wrong Prodigit as my Echarm hits 75 with ease and the rev limiter kicks in . Mine is LC and has Ducatti EFI with 16 inch wheels has 12 HP where most have 8 or 9 HP . I can do 65 up a steep hill with a passenger and both of us weigh 200 lbs each

Even with EFI, OR 2T you could get to 70MPH; but you got both! Most conversations are about 4 strokes. 2 strokes are a dying breed, due to regulations.

When my Echarm was stock other than NGK iridium it would top at 70 MPH went from 12g rollers to 12 Dr Pulley sliders and top end went up to 75 MPH With heavier weight could hit 80 MPH and will ECU reprogrammed maybe MPH
