can anyone tell me what kind of engine is in my "roar250 39c", that's what it says on it anyway. I did order a mc122 250, but this is what I received. they look the same so mabey just a different name. Anyway, the cylinder does not face upright, it's more parallel to the ground, no kickstart, watercooled, very hard starting but its getting better. seems to have plenty of power. I did change oil after 200 mi, the drain is on flat part of bottom of crankcase.

I guess I should mentioned that, but what I wanted to know is if it is a Honda clone or how many cc, if anyone knows anything about it, reliability, etc.

cool, the displacement is 149.6 it has a 57.4 piston your basic GY6 157QMJ motor puts out little over 8 horse power. They are very good motors very common and can get performance parts for it. Alleyoop

Well prove is in the pudding as we say take a picture of the motor actually just take a picture of the motor on the right side by the muffler and I will tell you if it is a 250 motor or a 150 which they call those models 250-39cs. If its a 250 motor I will move it to the 250 section, but I looked the scoot up and from what you said its a 150cc.
What do the decals say on the rear fenders? and what year is it. Alleyoop

To my eye it looks to be the Linhai 257cc clone engine.
