Hi everyone, First time poster here, My SJ50 has a strange problem at the moment. It rides fine in dry weather but as soon as it starts to rain it runs rough as , with a bit of back firing, once I pull over and give it a rev it all seems normal but as soon as try to start off again it all starts happening again, not sure whats going on! I'm pulling it apart today, thought i would check all the hoses/gaskets too see if water could be getting in that way but other than that im at a loss. Any advice or comments appreciated. thanks guys ;D

I had that happen on the CB750, turned out to be the rubber boot/ spark plug cap around the spark plug was bad, it let water in and the spark went to ground instead of through the plug. A new NGK cap solved it.

Moisture is bad on unsealed eletrical connections and parts like a coil or CDI that may not be protected . The Teflon intakes overtime will crack and get holes thus suck in rain .
Dop you use the airbox or have a Uni or K&N type airfilter ?
Has it fizzled more than once when its rainy ?
