Could be one of the clutch pads rubber bumpers is missing or came off that holds them in so they don't flop around when they retract. Or it could be a weight that is sticking and clicking when it falls down. The clicking sounds happens when it is coming down to idle. So I would get a funnel and go on the other side and put it by the clutch and then by the variator and listen from which the click it coming from. Alleyoop

so getting back from further diagnosing. I took off the cover to check on clutch assembly and variator and ran it a bit with out it to see if it came from there all seem good. I do have a question, how freely should the rear wheel spin when pushed by hand? mine does not spin freely at all almost seems like brakes are pressed slightly, nevertheless I took the rear brakes off in order to see if it was catching and same, so definitely not brakes . Then I loosened the wheel nut, ran it, and the clicking noise was about 80% gone and my rear wheel spun a bit more with ease, when back to re tight it and now I get the clicking sound back again. Read a post online that the culprit could very likely be a bearing, to verify this is removing the wheel the only way?

The rear wheel doesn't spin completely free, but should be very easy to spin. Together with your description of loosening and tightening things up making a difference, I'm thinking you need to check your bearings, and make sure everything is seated properly.

Jerry found same suggestion online, my guess no way around it but to remove wheel and check right? I take it if indeed it's the bearings it should be noticeable?

Do a quick google video search for "50cc rear wheel bearing" and you'll find tons of videos that will show you different issues to look for.

OK, so decided to take the wheel off and to my surprise two spacers were on the inside? weird cause the short one goes on outside if am correct. So I re greased everything and put it back properly and now runs smoothly no noise and turns easier by hand too .
