Hello everyone, First off i am new to the boards and new to scooters. I just bought a 2008 Wildfire whf 150 se R8 at a really good price <$250 with 1500 miles on it. It starts right up and runs what seems to be fine and doesnt seem to have any major issues that i am aware of right now. Get the tags and inspection this weekend so can run it alittle more after i have them. Main thing i am wondering is has anyone had any experience with this scooter.? good ... bad.
From what i am told everything is stock on it .... guy ran it first summer he bought it then left it sit in garage. I did figure out it has a 157qmj engine on it. any known issues with them?
secondly i would like to drive it daily to work and back .... 20 mile one way .... 45MPH highest posted speed limit on route. Would this 150 be able to handle this trip. i am not a small person .... 5 6" 240lbs
and lastly has anyone messed with big bore kits for this one or performance parts .... I am a slight grease monkey so .....
thanks, DrZ

Hello, and welcome to the forums! Congrats on your purchase, sounds like you got a great deal. Your scooter has the standard 150cc gy6 engine. You'll find all the help you could need here, just ask away and someone is sure to have the answers. A stock 150cc should get you to 45mph no problem. You may find you want a bit more oomph, if so that's when a BBK comes into play. If you are "a slight grease monkey," you'll have no problems installing a BBK. The gy6 engine is simple and straightforward, and you can do the BBK in a couple of hours. So once you get to riding, let us know how your scooter is performing, and if you need any help or suggestions, welcome and enjoy the ride!

Scoot can't weigh that much, HD fatboys weigh in at that weight. Something isn't right, scoot should weigh in around 300lbs give or take.

623 is probably the GVWR = Gross Vehicular Weight Restriction, and is the max weight the scooter can handle total, including scooter, rider, and all accessories (including trailer when applicable).
