Ok that looks good I think it may be the IDLE at this point if not we can test if the fuel is flowing to the carb next. Alleyoop I'm not having any luck with the idle screw, keeps stalling no matter what. Now it's back to not wanting to start, is that because I'm flooding it with fuel? Right now the battery is dead and needs a few on the charger. While I wait, how can I check that fuel is following? Should I just pull the line right at the carb?

That scoot looks like it is brand new did it ever run good before? If so did you do or change something on it? Alleyoop It is brand new, it's got about 160 miles on it. It ran great before, but it would stall when it got hot, we talked in another thread about it and I found that the valves were too tight, so I put them at .004. Then, like a dummy, I messed with the fuel mixture before test riding the valve changes, but it's never run right since I took it apart for the valves. I also loosened the carb at both sides so I could turn it on it's side and drill out the fuel mix screw cap, but I put it right back.

Yes lets do that, Take the Fuel hose OFF the carb and stick it in a cup or something then crank the motor over and FUEL should stream out.
Also Have you tried after it starts to give it some THROTTLE to see if it keeps running, not to much throttle just play with it twisting back and forth if it wants to die. Alleyoop

Is the carb on there good and tight it may be the clamps are loose and it is sucking in AIR. it has to be a closed system any bad AIR leaks will cause starting and not running good. Alleyoop

I'm waiting for the battery charger, but I thought you might like to know the day I've had with this thing....
I broke two, yes two, bolts off in the valve cover, I had to get them out and get replacements from the hardware store. Then, while trying to kickstart it because the battery was dead, I snapped off the kickstarter.
and that is why I'm now using a battery charger...

OH man, sorry to hear that, ok well while it is charging go have something to eat or something, we can test the fuel delivery later when the battery is charged up. Do you have a regular charger or a trickle charger. Because if its a regular charger you can set it on 2 amps and hook it up the battery and it will spin your starter. Alleyoop

Ok good gas is flowing to the carb. And you tightened everything up have you tried to start it since the video and will it stay running or if you give it some throttle can you keep it running? ALleyoop

i had almost the same issue like 4 days ago, lol.... i fixed the issue with buying a new carb and setting up the mixture and speed screws correctly, i installed the carb myself but took the bike to the mechanic so he can set up the screws correctly

I just got it started, the idle was high with the back wheel spinning. I revved it a couple of times, it seemed to feel like it was loosing power as I revved it but then it caught back up....after a min or two it stalled and wouldn't start without a rest.

Are you sure you adjusted the valves correctly? Brought it up to TDC with the cam holes lined up even with the top of the head and then adjusted both valves to .004 INCHS?
Lower the Idle the wheel should not be spinning REALLY FAST when it first starts. It may spin but not really fast. Give the Idle speed screw 1/16 turn Counter Clockwise REMEMBER very minor turns on that screw does a lot. Alleyoop

When you were revving it did it make a bog sound when you gave it more throttle? If so turn the fuel ratio screw 1/2 turn COUNTER CLOCKWISE and see if it gets better or worse. Alleyoop

Alleyoop I took the valve cover off today and checked them and both are set so when I put a .004 in the feeler goes right in, but when I pull it out there is some resistance. The best was to describe it is that if I let go of the feeler tool it would hang there, but if I gave it a slight tug, it came right out. Could the problem be in the throttle cable? I noticed my throttle works both ways, turning it towards me increases gas like expected, but also, I can turn it away from my like 1/8 of the way and it also gives gas. Holding it away from me keeps the bike at a steading 25-30 mph. Is that normal or is my throttle cable messed up?
