Sooty exhaust Strada RX-200  By  hiskid1973 (Read 293 times)

I replaced the exhaust system on my wife's Strada RX-200 with a Gen 2 SS exhaust system. It sounded great BUT she says she don't like the noise. I replace it with stock items which seem chintzy compared to the SS one. I noticed that the exhaust pipe was really sooty. I noticed the exhaust manifold bolts weren't the tightest. Is the soot coming from a possible air leak or from the carb. Also the front brake line is twisted out, can I loosen the bolt up a bit at the crush washer to
swing it back in place. Will it re-tighten without washer replacement. Thanks and God bless.
