Had 950 miles on engine had to have valves adjust,was ok until about 1100 miles tap started again not as bad as before,but starting to tap agian,what could cause the valves to come back out of adjustment,what kind of oil,was told 10w40 deisel oil.

The heads and valves on these chinese scooters are not made from the highest quality steel. This means the valves being hammered against them during the combustion stroke actually pushes them a bit deeper into the steel. When you are talking about clearances that are thousandths of an inch, the slightest give by the metal in the heads will make a difference. Some will only need adjusting a few times in their life, others will need it every couple thousand miles. You do want to hear a slight tap, but not a clack.
Normal 10-40 oil is fine, some prefer synthetic.

Hi try ebay scooter parts .Seller is called wm59 . He has some manuals for Chinese scooters. I got one Called Scooter Repair & Service Manual 4 Stroke 50cc engines. It has ALL the information on the 139 QMB engines .He has others also .
