Went and looked at Riva 180 today. It looked to be in excellent shape and started and ran fine. It had just over 900 miles. The biggest concern I have is the availability of parts. Doing a quick search online and on ebay showed very little availability. Are parts still available?

Biggest problem seems to be finding the enrichener components for the carb and such. They are a bit of an orphan at this point in time though but it can be overcome if your up to it.
It is like owning a Classic Car which you have not for the practicality but for love of it all.

Yep, enrichers can be replace by a rigged up manual choke. You may be able to modify one like this, or rig one up yourself based on it's design: MPSR Manual Choke GY6Here's a posting that details it so you can maybe work something out for the Riva: Push & Pull Manual Choke for GY6 |
