How's it goin, I decided to change all the silver on my scoot to flat black and replace all the decals with decals of all the brand of parts I've installed over the past couple yrs . Also bought new black vinyl for the seat. Should have everything done in a couple weeks . Will post pick.

One thing to consider, I know a man here in Vegas who has done something similar on his 50cc. He went solid black and added the decals of every performance part he has. He has gotten three tickets in the past year for going too fast. I also have a modded 50cc that looks very stock (see my sig), and I have never been bothered by LEO. Coincidence? I realize you are on a licensed 150cc, so this probably doesn't apply in your case.

I don't know about putting all the upgraded parts stickers on the scoot. Sometimes it's better if a potential thief thinks it's nothing but a cheap Chinese scoot. (sometimes it pays NOT to advertise.)

I do understand the possibility of being a police magnet. I have yet to get pulled over with the stock paint. However I 'll take the chance. I keep the scoot locked up on the porch and thank god PA. has stand your ground , I'm a licensed gun carrier and my 45 cal 1911 I wear open on my side will keep the crooks at bay. Just about Every one in a 15 mile radius knows not to steal from me . About a yr ago everyone of my neighbors had their vehicle broken into , mine was the only one untouched . I made sure everyone saw my AK 47 I use to protect my home when I first moved in . Don't get me wrong I don't go around makin threats , I m a law abiding citizen and have good relationships with my neighbors.

Yep, when I moved into the neighborhood I currently live in, I made a point of keeping my gun safe on the front lawn open while we moved the rest in. Anyone who drove by saw what they could expect to have pointing at their head if they break into my house! Everything from 22 to 223, and a couple would make Rambo jealous!

I figure you're better off keeping it a "sleeper" Why attract undo attention from parties on BOTH sides of the law?

Completely understand and respect what your sayin , but life is short and if u can't do something as simple as repainting a scooter the way u want it then what is the point of living ?

Actually you should. I believe that a person should be able to express themselves any way they wish as long as they are not interfering with the rights of others. Unfortunately that is (in this world) the wide yawning chasm between "should be" and "is" The other way I would look at it is, will you enjoy the ride any less?

I took a heat gun and removed all the stock stickers. The scoot looks much better. It didn't help that the Chinese stickers were applied crooked. I thought about alternate stickers, but it looks pretty good clean.
Not sure I would worry about the cops. It is more how you ride, than the stickers you have on your ride. I like the idea of going flat black. No reason not to customize if it makes you happy. Just lock it up.
Keep us posted on the seat recover. I will have to do that next season. This is the last year for the seat I have I suspect.
I thought of painting my skins flat black if I have my seat done in black. That would make the scoot flat black with red accents.

I don't think the stickers will make it a target for theft or a police magnet but I think the performance pipes do, mine is louder than alot of motorcycles I never speed so no tickets but plenty of stares from people and police.

Something I learned on large bikes.... never make it louder. In CA it is illegal, and an instant stop.
