I ordered a 17/36 taida gear set should have it monday, I currently run the 15/37 and the torque is a little too much, i actually spun out yesterday and dumped my scoot on my leg. I like torque and acceleration but its to the point of dangerous so i figure i'd go up on the gear set and convert some of that torque to top end. The scoot landed on my leg so it doesn't have a scratch, my knee got banged up and twisted, i'll be limping for a few days. I have read that the 17/36 will make it sluggish but not sure that is true with the amount of torque i have now i could lose half and it would still be alright.

Glad to hear you are pretty much OK! I had a similar issue last week when it rained a bit here in Vegas. It doesn't rain often enough here to clean the film of oil off the streets, so it can be pretty sketchy when it does rain a bit. I was taking off from a stop light turning right, my rear tire hit a bit of oil/water, and the rear end spun around on me. The tires grabbed right when I was facing the curb, so I ended up jumping the scooter onto the sidewalk, stepping off of it at the same moment. I was lucky not to have fallen, and the scooter escaped without a scratch luckily.
I love torque monsters, but there is a limit!

if that doesn't tame the beast then maybe a different camshaft.

Never such a thing as too much torque.... train the hand, your riding a "Ninja Scoot" now... On my 150, I had the same thing when I changed wieghts and variator... All the sudden it would carry the front wheel if you took off a little to hard. Had to learn to ride it all over again. I'm glad you are OK...

Got it all switched this evening i didn't lose any torque or acceleration and gained around 7 mph on the top end, i guess i'll just go easier on the throttle

Wow... That's a big gain in the top end.

I'm very pleased with the 17/36 set good upgrade, not sure if they would work without the stroker but was worth the money.
