using another members idea i bought some 3D carbon fiber wrap to hide some damage on the trim. also installed new tail light assembly. it's hard to see from this angle but the old taillight was held together with duct tape. the left side was in pieces. sorry i don't have too many before pics. i'm happy with the way it turned out. if it didn't add value it will certainly make it easier to sell. i still need to install the new mirros, i'll do that another day. before after

here is a closer shot. this is the first side i did, i messed up in a couple spots but overall it's an improvement. learned from doing the first one and this side turned out much better.

got the new mirrors on today. the right mirror never stayed in one position. the heads on the hardware were near stripped so i wasn't able to torque enough to keep it in place. everytime i twist the throttle the whole assembly would move. i thought about buying a new kill/starter switch but none of them appear to come with hardware.
pulled out the drill today and fixed it for good. bolt through the handle bar and it is never moving again. i should have done this along time ago. looks fine and works great. also changed the oil one last time. just needs a bath and it's ready for sale. really gonna miss her.

Make it to nice and you'll be wanting to keep it. I like the carbon fiber wrap. Where did you get it?

rode it to the store today and noticed the speedometer wasn't working. guessing the cable broke again. it was practically new, about 2,000km.

rode it to the store today and noticed the speedometer wasn't working. guessing the cable broke again. it was practically new, about 2,000km. the cable wasn't attached. must have been loose, i guess it came undone when i fixed the kill/starter switch assembly. i used thread locker and reattached. friend from work doesn't seem too interested so i finally listed it on craigslist. thought many would be interested but no response yet. doesn't help that someone with a nearly new atm50 posted his for sale shortly after for the same price.
