I have an gy6 170 with the a9 camshaft 12gram sliders. It has the stock 1k contra spring. I have little low end power with this camshaft its a high lift builds power at a high rpm. I want to take off like a bat out of I ordered a 2k contra spring will this help my takeoff and not hurt my top speed?

What is your top speed? I get huge acceleration with my set up the a14 cam helps with the take off and my top speed is good also.

It will definitely help your acceleration but the 12 gram weights might not be able to compress the Red spring all the way in the clutch so you might lose a little top end.
I've tried all 3 color springs with my last scooter and I just ordered a Red torque spring for my Kymco Super 8 because I lost a lot of acceleration after installing a Dr. Pulley Variator and I want to regain some of the acceleration that I lost.

my top speed is 70 at 8k on the speedo feels like 60-65mph. I have the koso 115mm variator/slider kit. I have noticed a big difference in rpm drop on takeoff with this new variator kit. Contra starts to open wide at 3,500- rpm "on tac" not fun but it boosts around 6k rpm.

I'd try the 1.5k spring first that 2k is rough on belts.

Some variators are not good on the low end reason is the Curvature of the pulley face and the ramp angles. Dr. Pulley Variators as Prodigy Variators are more to get the belt to climb up the face fast and give you good top end. A good Variator for low end and good top end is your 115mm KOSO variators, they are great I took my expensive Prodigy off and have been running with the KOSO. I even ordered another one from TVNACMAN to have as a spare if needed. It gives you a little of both good low end and good top end and my trike is way heavier than your 2 wheelers.
As for the Contra Spring AND Clutch springs I like the softest, I do not like to have to get the revs up to above 3K just to get the trike to start moving. If you want jack rabbits starts put in 1000-1500 Clutch springs that will require your rpms to be around 3500 before the clutch pads swing out and grab the bell. Now a stronger Contra spring you may need to up your variator weights to not loose some top end speed if your motor is not able to pump out some rpms. Alleyoop
