Ok so here is my first question for the experts. I have a 2013 BMS Chelsea 150. I have had it 3 weeks and it has 200 miles on it.
When I start it cold, it starts immediately. Sounds like it goes to proper higher idle for warm up. Runs smooth. After about 30 seconds or so the enricher drops out and this idle drops... but its not warmed up enough. It rough idles and will eventually die unless I play with the throttle to keep it going. kinda bogs too. After about 2 minutes ... when its warm, it idles great and stays that way.
Is my idle set too low? How can you tell your idle is right? The info card says about 1700 rpm is that right? Will it improve with more mileage? Thanks

The enricher is supposed to start extending in about 3 minutes or so, so 30 seconds it is extending to fast. But to test it out take it out and lay it on its side and cover the hole with your thumb and start it and keep your thumb on the hole. Now watch the ENRICHER and see how fast the gold cylinder extends out about 1/4 of an inch. If it extends out within 30 seconds I would get another enricher. Idle after warm should be anywhere from 1500-1800 where ever it idles the smoothest. Alleyoop

You need to get a Tach, a tach is very important for tuning and also will tell you how the motor is running. With the tach you will know when something is not right something needs attention. Here is a good tach that you can install in 5 minutes. Alleyoop www.trailtech.net/digital-gauges/tto?p=2

So today I went and got a tach. Could have been a 5 minute install but I insisted on the clean install where I could see it. My local M/C shop had this on in stock for $34. I think part of my problem was that at warm up... it was idling at about 1250 RPMs. Thanks again for the info.
