Are these motors splash lube or do they have a pressure lube system? I try to check the oil level as often as I can, I was just wondering if there was a way to put some kind of positive oil indication on. Pressure or level.

They have oil pumps and make oil pressure, I'm sure some of the lubrication is splash but they are pressurized as well.

Is there a port or screw hole or anything that old be used to measure oil pressure?

I see no way to measure oil pressure just took mine completely apart yesterday split the case.

Some have a port for an external oil cooler which could also be used for an oil pressure guage however its normal range of operation might give you heart palpitations.

I agree. Since these engines have roller bearing, not like the solid bearings in cars and small engines (read lawnmower etc) it would be hard to get a decent pressure reading.

Well, I'm not do much looking for an absolute oil pressure, but really more of a proof of pressure. I'm even thinking a pressure switch.
For the few that have an oil cooler connection, where would that be at?

Its on the crankcase you can buy an crankcase that has the oil cooler attachment.
