When I start my scoot I always get a loud noise that reminds me of a bearing that has gone bad, as soon as it starts the noise is gone. Using the kick start is not as bad as the electric starter. Any ideas where I should start troubleshooting?

Interesting my Echarm just started doing this after a year and have of not doing so . It starts up instantly but sounds like a bad water pump whine for a fraction of a second . I went to my dealer and he said several clients scooters have done so but work fine . I would think the starter clutch may need to be greased or cleaned but unsure .
Glad you posted this as I was about to in order to gather others opinions . My Echarm does not have a kickstart so its important to me that it works

i am thinking the starter bendix is sticky i would take it out clean very good and lube it that should fix it
