Opened a new bottle of two stroke oil today. Same brand and type (Maxima scooter pro 2t low smoke synthetic blend ) First bottle was blue in color and the new bottle was tan or brown in color. Has anybody run across this problem ? Could this be the same oil but a different color or the wrong oil in the bottle?

All Maxxima 2T oil I used was in a black bottle and was synthetic blend . You may have full synthetic or premix only as what I use says oil injector safe or premix . Some is premix only . I am happy with it since its 10 a quart . I tried Pennzoil for 6 a quart and make it smoked like crazy . The best I have used is Motul 710 full synthetic with boric ester but hate paying 17 a quart for it . The Maxxima has the orange sticker on the bottle on the kind I use

Black bottles same brown labels word for word. Oil I bought a year ago was blue in color and the one I just opened the other day was brown in color. Just wondering if they might have put the wrong oil in the bottle?

Chances are Maxxima is using a third party (oil supplier) to blend their oils, and therefore sometimes might get some discrepancies batch to batch. You'll see this quite often in lower priced oils or any oil company that doesn't control the blending process.
It's one of the reasons that we picked up Bel-Ray. They control and perform their production process end to end and each batch is always to spec.
As far as oils suppliers are concerned, you'd be amazed to find out how many oil brands are just a private label brand being produced by the same company.
Most likely through your oil is fine.

Maxima Scooter Pro, that's the one orange label. What color is your oil?

Golden . Many companies like Pennzoil but a blue dye in it so it would be faster to tell it was mixed with gas if you premix like I do . My oil tank cracked and would leak out my oil .
