Got my BBK finished last night, and when we finally got it running, it is smoking when you hit the throttle. Is this normal? Valves are at .004, main jet is 112.5 it sounds fine. It has had the same gas in it for about 2 months- non ethanol. Maybe it just needs ran a little bit? I haven't ridden it yet, just on the center stand....

Guess some stuff needs to burn off, kinda like the Two brothers exhaust we put on it, that thing smoked like a crop duster, and had me worried! I thought something was terribly wrong! Guess that's what's going on now....

The only smoke I had after doing my BBK was from oil on the engine case burning off. Never had any come out the exhaust. If it continues, there is most likely an issue with the rings. If it stops, it's probably just burn off.

I just asked my brother, and yes, he did the rings right 180 opposite from each other. I guess some stuff needs to burn off. IDK....

On the 50cc, there are three oil rings, and they should be set at 120 degrees apart from each other for uniform spacing. There are two regular rings and a wavy ring that goes between them. Not sure if that is true for a 150cc.
