So As of lately since I've beefed up my HP on my scoot I have been running through belts like there going out of style.. And I've come to this conclusion; I would ask the professionals on here with the experience. So does anyone have good recommendations for different types of belts, personally I use a 669.18.30 But I'm having trouble finding a trustworthy source for a premium Kevlar belt or even finding a real one for that matter. I have been using E-bay and a link someone sent me from here which I would be happy to share if needed there good belts "just need a better one if possible". Hoping someone knows where to find a Kevlar one with my measurements. Also if anyone has a recommendation for my spark plug gap for a 50mm bbk with a high performance coil and CDI setup I'm using a # main jet also I use an iridium plug. I currently gap it @ .32 but Idk if that's correct, as far as I know it works lol. Any and all help would be appreciated by not only me but the other readers who might stumble across these problems. Thank you..

I have read where Ebay and other sources can have fake Gates or Bando belts . Yes there is a diff in a brand name belt and a generic belt . If your eating up belts then you may have a bad variator or clutch . I have read where some have said the Kevlar belts can eat up a stock variator . I replaced the belts on both of my scooters with Kevlar Bando belts since they are made in Japan instead of China like the Gates are . I did notice both had vibrations where the stock belts did not . The belt on my Echarm it smoothed out after a few thousand miles . I only ride my 2T around as my toy since it is so loud and guzzles up gas . Here is a good place to get belts and more www.partsforscooters.com/Street-Scooters-Belts and another place www.scrappydogscooters.com/ If you have the cash for the Italian goodies ( way more money ) let me know and I will point you in the right direction . I ran a 95MJ with my 50mm BBK but I left the NGK iridium gap as it came since they come pregapped and unsure what it was

Parts for Scooters is a very good source. Partial to them as they are local to me.

Well I have some GREAT! parts you might be interested in . I have gates belts in your size . I would like to know what cdi your using ? I have a variable timing cdi , makes start up smooth then jumps to almost 30 degree advance at about 3000 rpm . I have sold a fair amount of the cdi's with all positive feedback from everyone that has bought them . They have been used on worked engines as well as stock engines .

Per the iridium's instructions, they are pre-gapped, and require no gapping on your part. I've left mine as-is, and have been happy with it.
