I recently purchased a Roketa 150cc Sicily from a friend of mine. I purchased the bike knowing that it won't start. My friend stated that 2 years ago he was riding the bike, and noticed that he would periodically lose power at full throttle. However, it would immediately return to full throttle. The bike then became difficult to start. However, several days later the bike stopped starting.
I have pulled the fuel pump off, and flushed the tank to remove all old fuel. Refilled with 91 octane fuel. Pull carb, and confirmed the bulb on the carb was full of fuel. Took carb apart, and cleaned carb. Replaced fuel lines, and vacuum lines. Pulled fuel line off fuel pump and found pump pushing fuel while engine cranking. Replaced spark plug, and confirmed plug has spark by grounding plug. Found pressure in valve by placing finger on spark plug hole, and popped finger off as engine cranked.
I am out of ideas. PLEASE HELP!!!

The First thing is to Adjust the Valves adjust them both to .004 inchs. Right now it is running lean at WOT, after the valves are adjusted it will start much easier. If it still bogs at WOT then richen up the Fuel Ratio Mixture Screw by turning it Counter Clockwise. Do the settings on the Center Stand to get the HIGHEST idle from the adjustments. Alleyoop

Just got done adjusting my valves to .004, and my bike now runs amazingly! WOOHOO!!! Thank you thank you thank you. Now to make some adjustments to my idle, and it will be perfect. Thank you for your quick replies. Wasn't sure this was going to be something I could do on my own, but was pleasantly surprised to find out just how easy a valve adjustment is. Already put about 10 miles on the bike even though it's only about 50 degrees outside.

Fantastic!! Good job Bro, yes now you need to lower the IDLE using the IDLE SPEED screw down to about 1500 or so where ever it Idles the smoothest without the rear wheel spinning. Alleyoop
