Isn't a dink in British speaking lands a small vessel used to commute from the shore to large boats and small ships?

spandi, hate the look, but love the pizza heater!
rocky, that's still not really a great name for a scooter. Here, let's name our scooter after a tiny boat. And we'll make it better, we'll call it a GRAND dink! Vista is SO much better! "Grand View"--yep, that's what Leo's getting, a grand view of his part of Texas.

The larger displacement not only gives a more "grand" view of my "hood", but the scenery goes by a lot faster... LOL!I have to admit, this "new" old gal is what I always hoped a scooter could be. It's really no bigger than the old Chinese 150, it's almost as nimble in tight places, but can still run up to 70 mph to go to another town 50 miles down the road. I have a feeling your sweet Piaggio is similar. With real arthritis problems, a "climb-aboard" cycle is no longer any good for me, and even the maxi-scooters are not practical. Having a typical flat-floor, step-through scooter that will still run the freeways is the perfect answer. It's almost like having my familiar old Chinese 150, but with more than double the horsepower. In tight traffic and parking lots, it's as handy as the old 150, and at highway speed, it rides very much like a full-sized motorcycle. A GREAT combination... If this old gal turns out to be relatively trouble-free, she should serve my needs for a long time. Ride safe, and keep the pizza hot!Leo

Watch Carey Grant rescue a dozen orphaned girls along with their teacher using one to ferry them away to another island in Father Goose.

Not to mention all the little boats that made the "Miracle of Dunkirk" possible.

Okay, until rocky got to the part about the island, I thought he was talking about the pizza-scooter....
