You have anything in those files on de-restricting the Tomos Twister 50cc? The scoot isa 2012 model and was built by SYM using a Peugeot XS1P37QMA-2 with a Keihin NCV and the stock variator with 6 gram rollers. Thanks in advance for any info you may have.

No I have nothing for that specific scoot, but it MAY not be restricted at all. Since you have a tach what are the RPMS your getting at WOT and what is your top end speed. I know the speedos are off but it gives at least a good idea of what the top end may be and at what RPMS. But if it only does around 30mph with the 16inch wheels then it is restricted. 1. Check for a washer or spacer between the Variator plates. 2. Check if there are wires going into the CVT(which would be a Crank Rotation Sensor and Cuts the RPMS) If so disconnect it there. 3. Since it has a CVK carb take the top of the carb off and see if there is a Piece screwed into the top of the CAP if so take it out. That restricts the Diaphgram from rising the needle out of the main jet all the way. 4. Check your CDI if #2 above was negative for a looped wire coming out and going back in, If so cut the wire and tape them up(that restricts the RPMS therefore your top end like #2 would. 5. Last but not least a Smaller pipe spot welded into the inside of the FLANGE that connects to the motor, restricts the breathing and therefore the top end. Alleyoop
