i replaced my regulator last weekend and put in a new battery and was working good now the regulator is bad again worse than before before it over charged my battery now it is blowing all the lights what would cause it to go bad this quickly, not sure if this would have anything to do with it on monday i was out on it and scooter started to run terrible and pulled over and it stalled out, turned out to be loose spark plug cap,put it back on tight and started right up,i don't think that would have cooked it, when it was working good it was charging good at idle 13 volts little over 14 while revved up so it seems like the stator is working good, could it have just been a defective part?

I got the one at the very bottom of the page. Nice quality R/R units, you should email him if you are interested to see if it (or one of them) will work in your scoot. oregonmotorcycleparts.com/VRRPM.html

well checked everything out and stator and ground checks out got new regulator hooked it up and blew lights, tried the original regulator other than to many volts at the battery it does not blow the lights, could it be that the regulators i got do not match up to the wires or are there that many crappy regulators out there, i went for what i thought was a better regulator and still not working

The 4pin regulators are hit or miss . I changed the stator to 11pole and used a 7pin regulator . Then converted all my electrics to dc except for the cdi .
