No offence taken. You were contemplating buying a tao tao powermax 150. I have two of them and figured I would give some input from my experience. My mistake, the second poster put the place where I bought mine. The problems I posted above were only Some of the little "issues" I have had. I have had a stator burn up and leave me sitting. I have had wires on the cdi come loose and prevent spark and leave me sitting (super pain to find cause when I tested both connectors with multi meter it read fine, it was the actual connector that was poop) both of them had the muffler brackets break while riding and required fixing. My first one came with a defective valve cover. I would ride for 5 min and be leaking oil everywhere. I tried many times with new gaskets, gasket makers RTV etc. I gave up and bought a new valve cover on ebay just to try and that was the cure. I now have 10 extra gaskets I bought from aliexpress as I had to buy bulk. Lol. The dang thing is like an airplane and requires MX every time you park it! If you don’t enjoy turning wrenches I wouldn’t recommend one especially if its one of your major forms of transportation. Buy a Taiwanese or Japanese scoot if you want reliability. I have a 75 Cb500 and a 2005 vstar 1100 I take if I don’t want the chance of breaking down to be part of the adventure, And that’s something I honestly enjoy! When Im riding one of these tings I feel like how a turn of the century motorcyclist must have felt, it’s a gas to ride when its running but its almost as much fun getting them to go as it is to ride.

I've slept on it a I've decided that I'll probably just keep my VIP, I've put almost 1200.00 into it!,not counting the 1000.00 that I paid for it bran new. I'm always working on it all spring, summer an fall. No riding here in Indiana because it's to darn cold, it's set all winter in my garage an it will be a miracle if it starts when time to ride it. It was running perfect when I parked it though. Thank You for you're advice though!I don't want another lemon P.S. Are we talking about the Roketa 2 stroke or the 150cc tao tao I was interested in the Roketa 2 stroke???
