I have installed some LED lights around my instrument panel with a switch and they work great but my problem is I can turn them on even when scooter isn't running. How can I make it so scooter has to be running for lights to turn on?

What is wrong with that you have a switch to turn them off and on hooked up to the battery. So leave them off until you start the motor then turn them on. If your asking to have them work using the power from the STATOR Find a live wire that actives something on your scoot only when the motor is running. But have to tell you the LED lights might not light as strong as when hooked up to the battery.

Connect the + wire to the black wire on the ignition switch .
